One of the richest towns in Gallura, Calangianus lies in the north-east of Sardinia, occupying the slope of a mountainous massif and offering many tourist attractions.
Famous for the production of cork, which has made it one of the richest Sardinian locations (and has ranked it amongst the top 100 most industrialised municipalities in Italy since 1979), Calangianus lies in a basin 500 metres above sea level, protected by granite and wooded hills of the Limbara massif, in the deepest parts of Gallura.

Famoso per la produzione di sughero, che l’ha reso uno dei centri sardi più ricchi (e l’ha collocato dal 1979 tra i cento Comuni più industrializzati d’Italia), si adagia, a 500 metri d’altitudine, in una conca protetta da rilievi granitici e boscosi del massiccio del Limbara, nella Gallura più profonda.
